THAT THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR DECEMBER 06 BE ACCEPTED.

President’s Report
Brenda
Regarding Internet Broadbanding service for Beaver Lake area, Brenda reported that Bell Simpatico has our request on record and will only review such requests semi annually. Consultation with INCO has revealed that their lines to area properties are for business purposes only.
Doug Maki reported re: services through Xplornet which are available through Radishack Espanola. Basic material costs are $400.00 with $200.00 installation charges. Several packages are available: Minimum charges are for slowest speeds at approx. $75.00 per month

THAT BEAVER LAKE CLUB REQUEST WALDENCAN AND COUNCILLOR JAQUES BARBEAU TO SUPPORT OUR APPLICATION TO BELL SYMPATICO TO PROVIDE BROADBAND INTERNET SERVICE TO OUR AREA AT COMPETITIVE PRICES.

Regarding Roads Committee, Brenda reported that this issue has been presented to Waldencans and local roads have been posted. Leo Oman, Roads Committee Member will attend Police Open Forum Meeting on Feb 6th to represent area residents.
Committee Reports:
Carnival Feb 16-17-18 Brenda
Whitefish Lions Club has offered to assist Carnival Committee as requested. Maureen Bennison will contact Lion Marilym Shamess to followup.
Brenda requests all members to promote attendance at opening ceremonies on Feb. 16 at 6:00pm. Mayor John Rodrigues and Councilor Jacques Barbeau will be in attendance!
