Robert and Eija reported attending Grand Festival Meeting on March 21 at Finlandia Khoti. They provided an overview of Beaver Lake Juhannus Day Program and extended invitation to be part of Grand Festival list of community happening and events. No confirmation of details to date.

“Ruth Svensk Award” -Penage Lake WI Margaret
Margaret Laframboise requested that anyone knowing of a worthy applicant for the Penage Lake Womens Institute Scholarship for a post secondary student residing in Walden west should be advised of opportunity. Call Margaret for further details.
Status of Tourist Area: Robert
Advised meeting of matter of Tourist area lack of maintenance discussed at Walden Cans. Request that Brenda write letter on behalf of membership to request improvements to Tourist Area which is stop over in our community and represents a first view of Greater City if Sudbury. Expressed concern re: lack of ongoing maintenance!

Robert outline advantages of our club having a website and promotion program (Log etc)
Alek Luopa will attend next regular club meeting for discussion and determination.
