Meraki Wifi System

Let’s get this straight…dial up is terrible.

In fact, while I was writing this post, my internet disconnected several times! I can’t stand
this lunacy any more! I was reading a Popular Science magazine at the Espanola Library,
when I came across Meraki.

Meraki creates a wireless internet network by placing little systems called ”repeaters” within
range of one and other, duplicating the same connection over and over again.

Let’s say that there is a high speed internet connection in the Den Lou area. We connect
that connection to one of the repeaters which creates a range of about 1-8km. We then place another repeater within that 1-8km and it repeats the connection again. We can continue doing this
along roadways until the whole of Beaver Lake is covered! All we need then is to connect an adapter to the person’s computer(s) and you have high speed internet all from one connection.

For more information on this, please go to meraki.com
